IS BUYING & OWNING AHOME RIGHT FOR YOU?? |
|
You may not believe this but owning a home is not for everyone. Ill bet you wont find a lot of mortgage lenders or real estate agents here who will tell you that! In all honesty, the American Dream of home ownership is available for anyone who wants it but not without taking some responsibility. |
|
A responsible homeowner is found when the real customer in this process, you, understands everything you need to about buying and owning a home.
Fortunately for most Americans, homeownership is not just a home but one of the best financial decisions a person can make.
Here are a few reasons why:
Reason 1 - Have you read the financial classic The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason? It is a book of financial principles that are easy and sound. In fact people would be very wise to read and live by it! In Chapter 3 of the book, 7 Cures for a Lean Purse, the fifth cure is: Make of thy dwelling a profitable investment. The lesson goes on to explain, Paying exacting landlords liberal rents for rooms is not a path to financial prosperity.
If you must pay for your own shelter- you should work to create the opportunity to own your home, and build wealth in the process.
By paying rent every month, you are making your landlords wealthy while breaking your bank. Why would you want to pay off his mortgage?
Reason 2 - You can build wealth in two ways when you own a home. By putting money in to a savings account of sorts by paying down your mortgage, and through appreciation -- the rise in the propertys value over time.
Reason 3 -Even though you may say that the place you rent is yours face it – its not! The pride of ownership will lead you to make improvements to the home. When the improvements make the value of the home go up, its called sweat equity. When you improve the home you own you get to enjoy the improvements and increased its value at the same time!
Reason 4 - Heres a fact as shown in the chart below: Homeowners have a higher net worth than renters.

First Baby and a New Home
Recently my wife and I received the wonderful new that we were expecting our first child. We felt like we had to move fast!
I was referred to the First Time Home Buyer Pros by colleague and I scheduled my New Home Buyer Discovery Program. From the get go, Ben and Mason we're great reunning me through several loan program options to ensure I found something that met my needs.
Several follow up phone calls helped me through the process. We finally settled on a program and headed towards a smooth close. We look forword to raising our family in this home.
Thanks for taking some of the stress out of the buying process.
